Who We Are
The Digital Library Technologies Group is a team of technologists, programmers, and project managers with expertise in web development, user experience, library discovery systems, accessibility, hardware, software development, and DevOps. We partner with colleagues across the Libraries and Dartmouth to plan, build, procure, and or implement technology solutions that are sustainable and support the Libraries’ academic mission and strategic goals.

What We Do
The Digital Library Technologies Group (DLTG) supports technologies for the Dartmouth Libraries that advance research, teaching and learning at Dartmouth.
DLTG:
- Supports technologies and applications throughout library spaces.
- Provides project management support for the wide range of technological and digital initiatives in the Dartmouth Libraries.
- Manages server infrastructure.
- Provides strategic technological support for research and learning.
- Creates code that enables Dartmouth Libraries staff to do their work and support Dartmouth.
- Contributes open-source code for the benefit of the broader community.
- Works to ensure a good user experience for all library users, informed by universal design principles.
- Strives to make the Libraries’ online tools accessible.
Our Divisions
Infrastructure and Digital Scholarly Systems
Leadership: Este Pope
This group supports server infrastructure and applications for use in digital publishing, digital collections, archival and digital preservation systems, and repository management. We contribute to collaboration efforts at Dartmouth and beyond.
Library Information Technology Systems
Leadership: Joe Montibello
This group is responsible for desktop computing, library management software, and library discovery systems. We also develop and support a number of integrations connecting our systems to partners across campus and beyond.
Project Management and User Experience
Leadership: Jennifer Mullins
This group collaborates with and works across library departments to ensure that technology solutions are user focused and make the best use of resources. We conduct user research, and apply best practices in design, accessibility, and inclusive project management.
