Who We Are

The Digital Library Technologies Group (DLTG) supports technologies for the Dartmouth Libraries that advance research, teaching and learning at Dartmouth. We partner with colleagues across the Libraries and Dartmouth to build, procure, and or implement technology solutions that are sustainable and support the Libraries’ academic mission and strategic goals.

What We Do

We partner with colleagues across the Libraries and Dartmouth to build, procure, and/or implement technology solutions that are sustainable and support the Libraries’ academic mission and strategic goals.

DLTG:

  • Supports technologies and applications, including technology used throughout library spaces.
  • Manages server infrastructure, and provide strategic technological support for research and learning.
  • Creates code that enables Dartmouth Libraries staff to do their work and support Dartmouth, and we contribute open-source code for the benefit of the broader community.
  • Works to ensure a good user experience for all library users, informed by universal design principles. We are also responsible for making the Libraries’ online tools accessible.

Our technology solutions include applications, systems, and workflows. We prioritize modular, sustainable, flexible, and shareable solutions. With our colleagues, we identify solutions and build a shared understanding of challenges and opportunities. We consider many options including local development, open source, and vendor solutions.
