Library Services
Book and Material Delivery
Library staff can assist you with retrieving physical materials from the collections. You may also request electronic scans of book chapters and articles.
Proxy Borrowing
If you need regular assistance, you can add a proxy borrower to your account. To add a proxy or ask a question about proxy borrowing, contact staff at the Baker-Berry Circulation Desk.
Assisted Copying and Scanning
Baker-Berry Library staff can assist with copying and scanning on site as needed. We also provide enhanced scanning services to Dartmouth staff and faculty with documented disabilities; please contact Resource Sharing for more information.
HathiTrust Digital Library Access
If you have a documented disability, you may request access to full-text documents via HathiTrust.
Digital Collections
All audio and audiovisual media in Digital by Dartmouth Library collections is captioned. Some manuscript collections have accompanying transcriptions.
Light Therapy Lamps
Visit the circulation desk to borrow a light therapy lamp.
Available Technology
Although the Libraries do not offer assistive technologies directly, students can use a variety of self-service technologies provided by Student Accessibility Services.
