Storage at the Records Management Center

You, your department, or office, must store records in a location that is known, secure, and stable for the length of time indicated in the General Retention Schedule. Records Management provides off-site storage for Dartmouth's paper records at the Library Collections and Services Facility.

Secure off-site storage allows you to reclaim office space and recall inactive records on demand.

RMS Online provides access to a user's catalog of stored records with the ability to:

  • Search and Request Records
  • Return Checked Out Records
  • Request Empty Boxes
  • Transfer New Records for Storage

For questions on storing and retrieving records from the Records Management Center and access to RMS Online, email Records Management at dartmouth.records.management@dartmouth.edu
