What You Can Borrow

Physical Items

With your Dartmouth or DHMC ID or Green library card, you can access and borrow much of our collections. Aside from books, we have equipment such as chargers and headphones for you to borrow, too. For more specialized equipment and fun things like board and video games from Jones Media Center.

Once you've found what you want to borrow, bring it to a circulation desk with your ID or library card. A staff member will check it out for you and let you know the date to return the item(s). View your account online anytime.

Use Library Search to find books, journals, music scores, media and more in our collections.

Digital Resources

Borrow or access digital items like journal articles, e-books and magazines directly through Library Search.

  • Faculty, Visiting Faculty, Staff, Students: Full access to electronic resources, on- or off-campus.
  • Alumni: On-campus access; limited remote access off campus with NetID.
  • Public Users (No Library Card): On-campus access only; no remote access.

Course Reserves
