Scanning Information
We can scan large, non-attached paper items with our scanner. The Evans Map Room team performs all scans: there is no self-service.
- You don’t need an appointment for scanning. Come to the Evans Map Room where we scan items on a first come, first served basis.
- Scanning is free for current Dartmouth students, staff, or faculty members by presenting your Dartmouth ID. There is a $5.00 charge for each item scanned, for non-Dartmouth individuals.
- We cannot scan items with charcoal or chalk art work. Such art work damages our scanner.
- We can scan items up to 54 inches wide or long. For items 11×17 or smaller, please use the self-service scanner on First Floor, Berry Library.
- Our scanner is a roll type, not a flat scanner. So, items must be a single sheet, no thicker than 3/8 of an inch, and not attached to anything.
- Please bring a USB drive for us to transfer the scanned image to you; or, we can email it to you.
