Accessible Entry

By parking in the handicap-accessible spot on the east side of College Street, you’ll have easy access to the east entrance of Baker-Berry Library. An elevator just inside the door can take you to all levels of Baker Library, including Baker Level 1, which connects with Berry Library.

We are committed to serving everyone in the Dartmouth community. Explore the ways we can support your accessibility needs.

Stacks

  • Because of their tight layout, most of the Baker stacks are not wheelchair accessible and may be difficult to navigate using other adaptive equipment.
  • If you have difficulty retrieving something from the stacks, ask a Baker-Berry staff member to retrieve it for you.

Restrooms

Use our Baker-Berry floor plans and restroom locator as you plan your visit.

We are in the process of adding automatic door openers to our restrooms.

Quiet Reflection Nook

This cordoned off area provides room for one or two people to meditate, pray, or take a quiet moment to themselves in the Baker Stacks.
