Aside from being a decent source for croquetas and empanadas in my home of South Florida, Winn Dixie doubles as a great tale about a quirky stray dog, a curious girl and the power of friendships. I was about 10 when I read it, the same age as Opal, the main character, and I learned with her the value of taking time to know people and their stories.

I am a government major. I plan on attending law school in the Fall of 2022. I haven't yet decided what type of law I want to practice, but I know that whether it's in the field of health, entertainment or immigration, pursuing equity in the way people are treated under the law will permeate my work.

Starting my freshman year, I worked as an assistant in the Sherman Art Library. During and after sophomore summer, I also worked as an assistant at the desks in Baker-Berry.

While this was not the senior year I expected, I have appreciated the chance to continue to engage intellectually with my peers and experience Hanover one last time before graduation.
