Find and Use Materials

  • Our alumni have access to a selection of online databases, full-text journals, magazines, and newspapers. To access, visit our Alumni Research Guide, and click on the ‘All Available Resources’ tab,’ which lists all the electronic resources available to alumni. When you select a resource, you will be prompted to log in with your Dartmouth NetID and password. Contact the Alumni Help Desk if you need help with your NetID or password.
  • Search the catalog to find physical books and other materials.
  • Delve into the archives with a visit to Rauner Special Collections Library. Explore our archives in person or browse our digital collections.
  • As a Dartmouth alum, you and your spouse are eligible for free library cards for life. Your library cards allow you to borrow and request physical items. To obtain your card and set up your account, please visit the Baker-Berry Circulation Desk in person. Check hours we are open here

Friends of the Libraries

Participate in an exciting series of events, and consider making your gift to join the Friends of the Libraries program.

Alumni Memorial Book Fund

For more than 70 years, classes of Dartmouth alumni have honored deceased classmates through this special book purchasing program. The Libraries carefully selects the memorial volumes to bear their name. Since its inception, over 55 classes have participated, and we've added over 12,800 books to the Libraries' collection.
