Laura is the Head of Digital Scholarly Engagement, a department that encompasses three teams: Digital by Dartmouth Libraries; the Jones Media Center; and the Evans Map Room. Teams from Digital Scholarly Engagement work collaboratively across the Libraries, Dartmouth, and other communities to develop unique digital collections, to inspire users with creative media technology, and to engage with physical and digital map collections. 


Laura has a doctorate in English from Northwestern University, where she taught writing and literature classes. She has published widely in the field of library digital humanities, and most recently co-edited Digital Humanities in the Library, Second Edition. She is also a crossword puzzle constructor and co-founded The Inkubator, a project that published crosswords by women and non-binary puzzlemakers.
