Me and White Supremacy is a toolkit for firstly, recognizing but more importantly, untangling the white supremacy that exists within people with white privilege. While Layla F. Saad provides a 28-day “program” to take a raw, challenging, and deep internal look at how we may, even subconsciously, be holding onto facets of white supremacy, she makes clear that this is a lifetime of work. I made this selection as it has provided me with the tools to understand what anti-racist work truly looks like, and think it is valuable for anyone looking to do the work within, in order to decolonize and abolish the systems of oppression that underpin our society.

At Dartmouth, I am an ENVS major and have worked at the Paddock Music Library, as well as at the Collis front desk. After graduation, I have no idea what I will be doing! I am hoping to work in an environmental justice non-profit, focusing on coastal areas. My senior year has been bizarre, to say the least, but I feel fortunate that I have been able to live in the Upper Valley and enjoy some quality time with friends before we disperse across the country in June.
