BIOGRAPHY
Nathaniel Cushman was born May 28, 1712, in Plympton, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony. His parents were Isaac Cushman and Sarah Gibbs. A captain in the militia, Cushman married Sarah Coomer on September 29, 1733, in Plympton. He was married again on August 23, 1753, in Lebanon, Colony of Connecticut, to Temperance Sims. In 1743, Eleazar Wheelock paid £245 to Cushman for an enslaved person named Fortune. Cushman died on October 25, 1793.
